The Italian Ministry for Ecological Transition (previously Italian Ministry for Environment, Land and Sea - IMELS) has been demonstrating a commitment to the energy efficiency and renewable energy market in Lebanon, encouraging the LCEC to benefit fromm international opportunities in this sector, including the submission of projects for international financing, and promoting a more important regional role of the LCEC with the neighboring countries.

ENI CBC Med is the largest Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) initiative implemented by the EU under the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI). The general objective of the ENI CBCMED Programme is to foster fair, equitable and sustainable economic, social and territorial development, which may advance cross-border integration and valorise participating countries’ territories and values. The LCEC is currently a partner in two projects funded by this programme: BEEP and ESMES.
