SHAREN Kick Off Event

Two days of intense collaboration in Valencia 

The launch meeting, held at the IVE headquarters, opened with an online intervention by the Interreg NEXT MED Joint Secretariat, with the participation of Charaf M'Rabet and Merve Neslihan Demirok, who introduced the program framework and offered guidance on financial standards and recommendations for project implementation.

One of the key moments of the event was the session led by INTERACT, in which Nicolas Garnier gave an enlightening presentation on the dynamics of European cooperation, the emerging synergies between energy community projects and the opportunities for collaboration, replication and cross-fertilization across Europe —underlining SHAREN's potential to play a central role within this broad ecosystem of initiatives—.

The agenda also included the presentation of SHAREN's pilot projects in Spain, Lebanon, Jordan, Italy and Turkey, with updates on local participation and next implementation steps, as well as the launch of the project's communication and dissemination strategy and its first visibility materials.

Official reception at the Regional Office for the Western Mediterranean

One of the highlights of the launch meeting was the official reception at the Regional Office for the Western Mediterranean, located in the historic center of Valencia. The office, which provides local services, training, and communication support to beneficiaries of the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, warmly welcomed the SHAREN consortium and emphasized the project's strategic importance for the region.
