Melda Jabbour is the Team Leader of the Technical Support Unit to the Central Bank of Lebanon (BDL) at the Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC), Lebanon’s national energy agency hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Water (MEW).
With more than 9 years of experience in the field of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, as a member of LCEC since 2011, she worked on the technical implementation and development of the National Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Action (NEEREA). The NEEREA financing mechanism has more than 500 Million USD of loans already offered for more than 800 green project.
Melda Jabbour is a member of the Net-Metering committee at Electricite du Liban (EDL). In addition, she is managing the project implementation unit (PIU) of the Lebanese Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fund Facility (LEEREFF) developed by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the French Agency for Development (AFD).
Melda Jabbour holds a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering from ULFG2 - Faculty of Engineering - Lebanese University, Roumieh, Lebanon and a Master Degree in Research, Engineering Science from Paris VI - Pierre & Marie Curie University, Paris, France with a specialization in Renewable Energy and a focus on Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV). She is a member of the Order of Engineers and Architects in Beirut.
